Al Jazeera America was put out of business by lawsuits by beneficiaries of the illegal performance enhancing drug (PED) market, due to Al Jazeera’s undercover investigative reporting on this illegal PED market. Names such as Peyton Manning and Ryan Howard were exposed as beneficiaries and sought to have the story and network taken down. Al Jazeera America was cancelled by the illegal PED market. That was the best American cable news network ever by far.
This show with RBN is tops. Thrilling to hear Nick call out the anti-intellectualism that defines US culture. I’m a baby boomer that went to an Ivy League school. 3 doctorates and 6 Masters degrees in my birth family of 7. My Dad a very successful managerial class career, yet dismissive of history, culture, real political discussion, ignorant and distainful of digging into understanding views he opposed or claimed to have opposed. He passed this legacy to his kids. I escaped it, but way too late (age 45 was the start). My 4 sibs haven’t. Can hardly talk to them anymore as even their political talk is trivial and binary. Respect for history and developing courage. Those are what will save our could-be great nation. But I have doubts we’ll survive this adolescence.
The show is in safe hands with Russell and Keaton : they’re a natural fit, really good.
I am loving Russell as fill in host. Big fan of Due Dissidence and support them and Jimmy as a patron. Jimmy picks the best fill in hosts. Pasta, Aaron, Russell etc. All great!
the difference between the Catholic Church (and all the others mention) and Jewish groups is when they get accused they dont have the magic phrase “Blood Libel” to silence people and sweep it under the rug.

I don’t think many people (or at least reasonable people) were claiming this was a problem exclusively in the Jewish community, Russell. I admit I was suspicious because of the fact that dozens of orthodox Jews have been arrested, in Brooklyn, over child trafficking, rape and human organ sales in the last decade, but you educated me that they belong to different sects.
Of course this is a widespread problem, it was just the fact that orthodox Jews have been caught doing shady stuff very recently, in the same borrough, that got people like me suspicious. But fair enough, it does look like it has nothing to do with that.
