Nothing helps more than not buying anything made in Israel. There’s a reason the government is trying to outlaw BDS and not rallies or protests. It’s because BDS works. It did in South Africa and it’ll work for Palestine too. Look online for lists of Israeli companies and products to stop buying (Sabra hummus, HP computers, SodaStream, etc). #BDS
Wouldn’t that be funny if I spoke my bit here on jimmydore.com, paid cash dollars for the privilege, and nobody noticed. Welcome to the online mob.

I would love to see you get slaughtered on the Jimmy Dore show in a debate! You didn’t “nail” it. You actually look like YOU don’t know what you’re talking about
Come on you guys. The little isolated clip of Bush saying money trumps peace gives no context about what he was talking about. In isolation you would guess that MIC money drives war and therefor trumps peace which is obviously true. But that’s not what Bush was talking about. The question we didn’t hear was why the Europeans are still doing business with Iran despite US economic sanctions. Bush claims the sanctions on Iran are intended to help maintain the peace and that Europeans would rather do business with Iran than support economic sanctions. Never mind that sanctions are more likely to lead to war than peace, a six second clip taken in isolation is not a great way to make your point. I’m hoping we can do better than that.

Here is the problem with you argument. Bush saying money trumps peace is why we don’t have it. That is what Jimmy and them were trying to show. The context is irrelevant. And Bush didn’t want peace with Iran. The Europeans did business with Iran because they need their resources and Bush knew that he couldn’t get a war with Iran because he was more focused on Iraq and the Europeans are probably the ones telling Bush NOT to have a war with Iran because they wanted to reap their own rewards. If anything this is the same “context” you could take away from Germany saying they would NEVER buy oil from Russia after the pipeline was destroyed. Germany instead found out the hard way that they need Russia because they needed cheap oil…it’s all about the resources! What happened? What we all thought would happen that Germany would go crawling back to Russia on their hands and knees. So, the Europeans needed Iran and still need Iran which could be a reason why there is no war with Iran as of yet but time will tell. The ultimate goal is a war with Iran…do better and understand this was NOT about the question! This was about why we can have peace in the world!
The Venezuelan government destroyed their own country, entirely independent of any US influence. Every time you mention Venezuela you discredit your own side, Jimmy. Please, please, please learn something about the situation. The only thing you know about Venezuela, at all, is that sanctions exist. Please explain to me how the sanctions adversely effected the output of the oil fields. Not the DEMAND, but the OUTPUT. If you can’t explain that, you have no argument.

Remember that there are 2 countries in the middle east which are completely self sufficient. Syria (prior to the “civil war”in 2011) and Iran.
They cannot have that ofcourse. Disgusting

As I said on the chat last night, I’m glad that the Union won. However, I have a feeling that like what they did with Christian Smalls they are going to find a way to screw these workers out of these “great” wages! Sorry for being a pessimist but I think that Christian Smalls is still fighting to get what they were fighting for. I wish this Union all the best and I hope they end up getting what they truly deserve which is what we ALL deserve. Here in PA they aren’t going to up the min. wage until 2025. Well, hell I might be dead by then! I make a little more than min. wage now but again we could all be dead by the time the min. wage is supposed to go up to $15 a hour! So, they will screw workers. Hell, here in PA the min. wage isn’t going up to $13 an hour until next year I think. Hell, I make that already meanwhile I’m still struggling to put food on the table!
If you honestly thought that Trump was your “savior” or the “peace” candidate then you are a sucker of the highest order! Trump did EVERY thing the establishment wanted except that he would gaff every now and again but he was the establishment and he’s going to be doing what the establishment wants. Hell, he probably did this pandering to the Jewish people here so that he could be “back in the club”. I wouldn’t be surprised if these “charges” go away now that he has sucked more establishment dick! For fuck sake people WAKE UP! Trump was NEVER the answer! These people don’t want to help poor people! They only care about their own wealth and their own power. Trump wants power and now is pandering to the establishment to help him become President again! If you can’t see that (then as Jimmy says) WAKE UP CHUMP! We have to take care of each other because WE are all we got! Let’s help each other NOT blame each other like the elites want us too!
Couldn’t agree more regarding that the Canadian truckers model is one of the last effective forms of protest. Not sure if the American trucking industry is independent enough to repeat here, but close cousin that could be employed would involve the use of old clunker vehicles (or rentals – although they could push back there) as road-blocks. Drive it to a spot, get out and abandon it. Additionally, rendering some or all of the axles to seized states would such that it would require a lot of effort to remove. Technically, the charges are mild and possibly even excusable legally if the car is properly owned (regardless of where the purchase funds came from), and was indeed immovable (there may be legal excuses for this type of abandonment). Also, there are no optics of police arresting people or “violent” scenes. It may seem at first a good thing to have the police demonstrate their malfeasance, but any violence is always reported as originating from the anti-establishment protester. It is better to accomplish the goals of “this shit has to be reported” and “this shit disrupted capitalism”. Only being able to show video of cars being craned away and long lines of gridlock is a better outcome. The key is to pick the right locations for the roadblocks to inflict the most harm to the system, and thus the greatest amount of capitulation on their side. The financial cost and personal risk/sacrifice for this type if protest relatively low compared to the impact it could have, but there is a short shelf-life because once cars are all electric and connected, the TOS would allow them to increase the legal risk considerably. I would imagine the state was aware of this type of vulnerability – maybe the “cash for clunkers” program was a mitigation effort?
So, is it just me who thinks it’s a little too coincidental that Trump’s impeachment is for some random call with [the] Ukraine, then there is this huge MIC scam there. Then, there some “classified documents” scandal about some plans to invade Iran, and now, after the Hamas attack and reprisals, there are renewed talks of a full blown war with Iran/Hezbollah. And, one of the craziest fucking things that Trump did as President was assassinate Qasem Soleimani – even Barry O’Dronestrikes wouldn’t do that!
I wish there was a better way for people to withhold their dues from a bad union than living in a right to work state cause that’s currently the only way to do it. In most states, it is illegal and therefore impossible to BDS your own union at work if you think it’s selling you out and you don’t wanna keep paying them to. You just have to keep paying them dues and hope you can vote your way out of it.
