I invite Ben shapiro to work a shift with me in the overnight Trauma PACU unit as critical care RN. We are a skeleton group and have no techs or help. We are all experienced critical care nurses that also clean every patient/bedpan and have to move human bodies all night long. But wait! there’s more!. Management allows the hospital to overflow every night(more admitted patients than actual rooms), so we have to care for admitted patients who are supposed to be sleeping in their own room, but my PACU is 40 open beds-so we work from 11pm to 700am in complete darkness. Our desks and computers are located in the middle of this dark area. Next time you are visiting your retired grandparents give them a medicine bottle then turn the lights off and ask them to read the label.;)
