I think you guys may be confounding “people visiting a country” (definitely no vote) with “non citizens who legally have residency” (probably should be able to vote on lots of things, but maybe not everything). What is your position on birthright citizenship? I think if someone is permanently residing here, and doesn’t plan to move, they are a de facto citizen. They are bound by the laws here, the laws are made by politicians, why shouldn’t they have a say in who those politicians are? Regardless of how open or closed you think the border should be, you can’t be “pro little guy” and “fuck the immigrants” at the same time. Pandering to a more xenophobic audience?
I know you guys were not over the shitty club owner today, but there are experiences that are not lived, Kurt. Sometimes being anti-woke also requires adopting some dogma. The other type of experience would just be called learned experience. (insert your jokes here) Ha, ha, but here is simple analogy that may demonstrate. I work as a IT support tech. I’ve been doing it for 20 years, but I recently moved to a new organization (been there just over a year). In my work, there are things called known issues – like, “when I click here I get this error. Help please” – and many have known solutions. By now, I have experienced and solved a large number of known solutions, first hand. However, there are others, that I have never experienced, but because I have conversed with colleagues – who have shared their lived troubleshooting experiences with me – I now have learned through their experiences how to resolve those issues. This is such a old concept that there is a word for it, it is Vicariously. When you tell someone a story (or a joke, guys), they experience it too. I have learned through my own lived experience. I have also learned through the sharing of others experiences, and thus, gained some of their experience as well. You learn better and more profoundly through a lived experience, but there is a valid distinction here. Maybe my lived experience can help validate the existence of learned experiences for you. I’m not in any way suggesting that any specific us of “learned experience” isn’t stupid, as most everything that starts out simple and true gets bastardized when it is found to be good wedge between people.

Through all the western issues the single most repeated false phrase i hear over the years is ‘people are waking up’. no they are not. they are head in the sand, fully in the matrix. even tucker carlson funded by peter thiel is in question.
