2yrs in canada cant get a doctor, not enough to go around even though we import them like candy from south africa
ONLY 3 weeks to see a specialist? that’s an ONLY. It’s WAY WAY longer in Canada. WAY WAY longer. our “free” (paid for monthly and via taxes) healthcare sucks balls, I’ve waited 8 months for physio. Canada varies widely from province to province, alberta has the worst healthcare in canada. It’s still printer paper healthcare cards, over 5 million people enrolled in a province of 4 million, no digital communications, nickel and dime charges for everything and after my doctor retired I’m over 2 years on a waiting list, no doctor available. I can’t just go anywhere, I’ve been to 4 other cities and told I can only see doctors in my town. I’ve tried to go out of province but most clinics dont honor interprovincial agreements.

The wait times in Canada really vary and I think this statement on their apparent experience. My experience is not same. Rationing care also varies. Urgent critical care always timely has been my experience. And you don’t go broke although not free. Nature of needed care also varies. Our system being overwhelm by population growth needing care.
