Eh, there’s never going to really be any firm proof for these matters of psychology, it’s just going to be what makes sense to you based on life experience. Most of what attempts to pass for “science” these days doesn’t have much empiricism backing it, at best it’s correlative analytics with large sample sizes. The classical scientific method is the only thing that can really prove things conclusively (at least if you accept that physical reality has objective existence) and it’s application is very, very limited.
if we’ve learned anything from covid, it’s not to trust the experts. The internet gives critical thinkers the ability to research, learn and judge for themselves and debate, question and challenge. I agree its better not to take any of them at face value. if something resonates with jimmy that’s cool, for him. It’s like anything, some experts know their shit, some people are experts with no credentials, many experts dont know shit and shouldnt have credentials. the ones that dont know shit make it on cnn
